Gucci, Pucci, Fiorucci! Italian fashion is synonymous with glamour and style. This major exhibition presents the designers and outfits that have shaped Italy’s journey from post war ruins to become the world’s leading fashion nation.

Italian fashion got a massive boost in the 1950’s and 60’s with Hollywood stars being dressed by Italian designers, this made Pucci and Valentino household names, and set Italy on the path to global fashion domination we see today. The exhibition presents around 90 outfits by the leading Italian designers of the past seven decades, from Simonetta, Pucci, Sorelle Fontana, Valentino, Gucci, Missoni, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Versace, through to the next generation of fashion talent. The exhibition showcases women’s and menswear, shoes, accessories and glamourous jewellery, and is sponsored by the jewellers Bulgari.
