This year’s PAD Fair (Pavilion of Art and Design) was held between October 16th -20th in Berkeley Square, London. 60 of the world’s leading galleries showed an impressive selection of modern art, photography, furniture and decorative arts.

The various galleries were exhibiting works by 20th century artists including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Fernand Léger and Jean Dubuffet.
Galeria Mayoral d’Art of Barcelona were showings works by a number of legendary artists including Joan Miró and Jean-Michel Basquiat. There stand featured “Personnages et Oiseaux” 1963 (People and birds) by Joan Miró and Basquiat’s “59 Homers” 1982.
The photography on show included images by Nobuyoshi Araki, presented by the Michael Hoppen Gallery, London; and work by the American photographer, Michael Eastman, shown by the Barry Friedman Gallery of New York.
The show featured a fine selection of 20th century and contemporary furniture, ranging from pieces by the Wiener Werkstatt, through French designs of the 1950’s, right up to the latest pieces by Dutch designers. The “Cloud” bookcase designed by Charlotte Perriard in 1958 was a highlight shown by Galerie Downtown, Paris.
